National Home Care Breakfast Seminar - 'Shaping the Future of Home Care: Regulation & Market Outlook'

On 20th May, 2026, PKF Brenson Lawlor and Home and Community Care Ireland (HCCI), along with sponsors AIB, hosted an insightful breakfast seminar focused on the future of the Home Care sector in Ireland at Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport Central

Titled 'Shaping the Future of Home Care: Regulation & Market Outlook', the event was attended by home care owners and those involved in the sector in different capacities from across the country.

The speakers focused on a couple of broad themes: the future of the sector, economic outlook, business updates (M&A, valuations, banking) and 'pressure points'.

"Home care is a hugely important sector within the whole healthcare spehere. The HSE budget for 2026 is EUR 920 million - that's up 90% in the last five years. It alignts with the Sláintecare government strategy of this continuum of care, and it's about keeping people in their homes for as long as possible," said Jason Bradshaw, Corporate Finance Partner at PKF Brenson Lawlor.

Anne Bannon, Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences at AIB Business Banking, said: "We believe that the outlook for the home care sector is very positive. AIB has a full range of products and services to support home care providers right from their start-up and through their growth phase, whether that is organic or by acquisition."

"Today is a chance for us, as a sector, to pause for breath. We've had a busy winter season and the fuel protests. And today, we want to reflect on two big themes - one, that regulation is coming; and the second key theme is the workforce," said Joseph Musgrave, CEO, HCCI.
